MY EXPERIENCE
The Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising program has given me a very well-rounded education of the retail industry. I have studied subjects such as visual merchandising, trend analysis, consumer textiles, apparel manufacturing, and so much more. Within each class there are also detailed and in depth projects that help you simulate what happens in the industry everyday. I have created trend reports, line sheets, and lookbooks. I have also styled a photoshoot and created window displays. While some projects were individual, a lot of projects required working in groups, which is a good skill to have before entering the industry. I have developed many skills while in the ATM program that can benefit me professionally, and I have learned a tremendous amount about the industry as a whole. This program has greatly prepared me for entering the industry as a professional.

Some professional goals that I have for myself are to gain industry experience and to continue gaining experience and knowledge throughout my career. My goal is to pursue a career I am passionate about and have a successful career. I would love to use my career and experience in a way where I can make a difference in the industry. I am striving to meet these goals and will continue to set new goals for myself that will help me in my career professionally.
