KATE COTTONE

EDUCATION
I received my Associates Degree in Arts & Sciences at Bellevue College. I then transferred to Central Washington University in September of 2017 to complete my Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising. I am also minored in Web Design & Management.

PERSONAL STRENGTHS
Some of my strengths include organization, creativity, and planning. I also possess a strong work ethic and have been able to hone my time management skills throughout my time at school. I work well in a team structure, but I also work well on my own in an individual setting.

VALUES
I value honesty and integrity. I try to incorporate these values into my life and how I carry myself through school and my career. One of my biggest areas of interest in the fashion industry is sustainability. I value our planet and I think it is important to take care of it and continue to find new ways to reduce any negative impact that we may have on it.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Technology plays an important role in today's environment. Along with my major, I am minored in Web Design & Management. I have become familiar with programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and Animate. I have also gained skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. I am always improving my skills in these programs as they continue to update and change. Technology is always advancing and can have a positive impact in many different operations. Because technology has such a big influence on our environment, I think it is something people should be aware of and I am always trying to gain more knowledge when I can.
